Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Cards

Commissioners Dennis Stuckey, Scott Martin, and Craig Lehman are pleased to offer residents of Lancaster County a FREE prescription drug discount card for an average savings of 22% on their medications.

Starting May 29th, 2009, the Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Cards may be used at any of the 91 participating pharmacies in the County or 59,000 pharmacies Nationwide to receive a discount on prescriptions not covered by another health insurance plan.  Discounts may not be applied to deductibles or co-payments.

There are no enrollment forms, membership fees or eligibility requirements (i.e. age, income, or disability) associated with using the card; simply pick-up a discount card and take it to a participating pharmacy to have the discount applied.  One card may be used for the whole family!

The Board of Commissioners is able to offer you the Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Card at no cost to the County through their membership with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and through the many partners who have agreed to make the discount cards available to you at their locations.  Please take a moment to review this list to find a location near you.  The list of partners will continue to grow, so please check back often.

During these tough economic times, the Board of Commissioners is especially glad to offer this program and hope residents find benefit in it.  If you have additional questions about the program or to find a participating pharmacy near you, please call the toll-free hotline at 1-877-321-2652 or visit www.caremark.com/naco.

*This program is administered through CVS Caremark*
